Thank you for purchasing digital products or subscriptions through our marketplace. Due to the nature of digital goods (Joomla templates, WordPress themes, extensions, and similar software), refunds are not automatically guaranteed and are granted only under specific circumstances as outlined in this policy.

1. General Policy

Because our products and subscription catalogs are delivered instantly and can be downloaded immediately after purchase, we generally do not offer refunds for change of mind or buyer's remorse. Once digital content or access has been delivered, we cannot "undo" that delivery.

By completing your purchase or subscription checkout, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that you forfeit your right of withdrawal once the product or subscription access has been made available to you, in accordance with EU Directive 2011/83 and our Terms and Conditions (Section 4).

However, we may issue refunds in certain cases described below, at our sole discretion.

2. Eligible Refund Requests (One-Time Purchases)

For one-time product purchases (licenses), we will consider a refund request only if one of the following conditions applies:

Technical Defect: A verified technical defect exists that prevents the product from functioning as described, and we are unable to provide a fix or workaround within a reasonable timeframe.

Inaccurate Product Description: The product materially differs from its description or live demo, and we are unable to correct the discrepancy.

Duplicate Purchase: You have accidentally purchased the same product license more than once.

In all cases above, you may be required to provide evidence (such as screenshots, error messages, server environment details, and steps to reproduce the issue) to help us assess your request.

3. Subscription Plans and Recurring Billing Refunds

Subscriptions (Legacy Support, All-Access, and Agency plans) involve recurring billing cycles. The refund rules for these plans are as follows:

No Refunds for Active/Unused Periods: Subscription fees are non-refundable for any partial, unused, or remaining days of your current billing cycle.

Cancellation vs. Refund: If you no longer wish to be charged, you can cancel your subscription at any time through your account panel before the next renewal date. Upon cancellation, your access remains active until the end of the paid period, and no further automatic charges will occur.

Accidental Renewals: If your subscription automatically renewed and you did not intend to continue, you may request a refund within 48 hours of the renewal charge, provided you have not downloaded any products or requested support since the renewal date. Requests made after 48 hours or after products have been downloaded will not be eligible for a refund.

4. Ineligible Refund Requests

Refunds will not be granted under any of the following conditions:

  • Change of mind, preference, or buyer's remorse after a product has been accessed, downloaded, or while a subscription is active.
  • Lack of technical knowledge or inability to install and implement the product yourself.
  • Issues caused by third-party software, plugins, services, or your hosting environment.
  • Problems caused by modifications you or a third party have made to the original product files.
  • Compatibility issues with future software versions (such as CMS or PHP core updates) not explicitly guaranteed in the product description.
  • Failure to read the product description, technical requirements, or documentation before purchase.

5. Refund Process

To request a refund, please contact us at admin@joomlastars.com with the following information:

  • Your name and purchase details (Paddle Order ID, Subscription ID, and the email address used at checkout).
  • Product or Subscription plan name.
  • A detailed explanation of the issue or reason for the request.
  • Supporting evidence (screenshots, URLs, error logs) if claiming a technical defect.
  • We will review your request and respond within 3–7 business days.

6. Partial Refunds

In isolated cases for one-time purchases, we may offer a partial refund if a product partially works but contains minor issues that do not materially affect its core features or functionality. Partial refunds are provided at our sole discretion and do not apply to subscription renewals.

7. Chargebacks and Disputes

All payments are handled by Paddle, our authorized payment provider and Merchant of Record. If you initiate a chargeback or a payment dispute with your bank, credit card company, or PayPal without contacting us first, we reserve the right to immediately suspend your account panel access, revoke your product licenses, and cancel any active subscriptions.

We also reserve the right to dispute unwarranted chargebacks by providing download logs and checkout consent data to the payment processor. We strongly encourage you to contact us directly to resolve any issues fairly and promptly.

8. Timing of Refunds

Approved refunds are processed through Paddle. Once issued from our dashboard, the funds are typically credited back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. The exact timing depends on your financial institution and is subject to Paddle's standard processing procedures.

9. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our website or purchases after such changes indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
